The HTC titan it is one big smartphone. This huge phone is grabbing eyeballs as this newest Windows device proudly flaunts the 4.7″ screen making the display large and clear.

Competing against the mobile super powers in the market, it is clear that the HTC is concerned about the needs of today. One of the first phones to implement the WP 7 Mango, the HTC Titan is the biggest too and is planning to stay like this for quite a while. The HTC Titan is looking to implement the upgrades it is loaded with and the huge 4.7″ 16M color s LCD capacitive touchscreen of WVGA resolution (480 x 800 pixels) display is not the only improvement.

It is loaded with a Quad band GSM/ BPRS/ EDGE support, a dual band 3G with HSDPA 14.4 Mbps and HSUPA 5.76 Mbps, with a Windows Phone 7.5 Mango OS running at its core. 1.5 GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon CPU, Adreno 205 GPU, 512 MB RAM are some of its appreciable inclusions.

With a 8 megapixel autofocus camera with dual LED flash, 28 mm wide angle lens, F2.2 aperture and BSI sensor, the HTC Titan also contains a Hardware camera button for capturing that perfect piece of art. Also of mention is the 720 video recording @ 30 frames per second and ample 16 GB of built in storage that round up the camera.

A standard 3.5 mm audio jack is the sound department’s easy pride in designing this WP7 smartphone. A standard microUSB port for charging, Wi Fi b/g/n, stereo Bluetooth 2.1, a built in A GPS receiver are added bonuses one would expect while buying the HTC Titan.

A Mobile Office document viewer or editor, social network integration and cloud services, a stereo FM Radio with RDS, and an HTC Hub and exclusive HTC apps are what sums up the phone’s features.

Despite all the beautiful and alluring features, the HTC Titan also has some minor setbacks. The screen being gigantic in size stretches the resolution a little thin. The storage is non-expandable and no mass storage is permitted. It neither supports native video calls, Flash, Silverlight, nor DivX/XviD video support and runs and supports only Zune files.

But the HTC is an impressive camera phone and is no slowpoke with its 1.5 GHz processor. The Metro UI and WP interface offers novel software experience. The mango update has enabled multitasking and improved the overall experience, enabling some add on to a package already running solid Office and Organizer credentials and a deep social network integration.

The HTC Titan is fast, responsive and well connected. The OS is a great improvement and the camera is well above the HTC standards. The Titan is one phone which only solidifies the HTC’s reputation as a Windows Phone partner, at the same time enabling Microsoft to make a transition to social and media centric from its usual strictly business pattern.

The Titan lives up to its name. With dimensions 131.5×70.7×9.9mm and at 160g it is one great phone to hold. The slimness and good use of space around the display, makes the HTC one good smartphone available in the market.

For example Microsoft has Skydrive, Apple has iCloud and now HTC moving forward with his new partnership; Dropbox. Which is now very popular among the internet user for storage their personal data. To users of HTC Android phone, they will get a bonus 3GB additional storage to the 2GB offered by Dropbox. This will activate right on this coming October.

The users can store the files and photos on the mobile phone and automatically synced with all devices that running with Dropbox software. Ain’t cool right?! Besides, Dropbox offer to upgrade the storage capacity up to 8GB when the users introduce friends to sign up to the service. And this additional free storage capacity reaching up to 10GB.

HTC hasn’t said whether older Sense users would be getting an update to 3.5 or the Dropbox features.

Looks like Google’s own OS, the Android is gaining ground in the mobile phone market. More and more manufacturers are embracing the Android OS and just recently, the HTC Hero has been announced. HTC has been the biggest manufacturer of Android phones with Google choosing them to make their first Google Phone, the G1 or HTC Dream. After the G1, HTC has also made the HTC Magic and the recent announcement of the HC Hero makes it their third Android device.

But HTC is not the only manufacturer of Android phones. Sony Ericsson and Motorola have been rumored to be in the process of making their own Android phones and recently, Samsung has released their own Android phone: the Samsung i7500 Galaxy in Germany.

According to some Samsung i7500 reviews, it seems to be the most powerful Android phone in the market with a 5 megapixel camera, 3.2 inch AMOLED screen, WiFi, GPS, HSDPA, Bluetooth, etc. However, once the HTC Hero will be released, the Samsung Galaxy is in for a stiff competition. Aside from a custom UI, the HTC Hero boasts of an onboard 3.5mm headset jack and a much sleeker design.

So who will come out on top? Neither Samsung and HTC but Google who seems to be bent on dominating the smartphone market.
